Social Studies:
In Social Studies, we are thrilled to learn about your family's customs and traditions. In Mind Missions, we will read "The Milk Maid" and design a better way to carry the milk!
Math:
Learners will use objects and pictorial models to solve word problems involving joining, separating, and comparing sets within 20.
Math Take Home Activity:
Math Take Home Activity:
Write 7, 9. 16, + , - and = on separate slips of paper. Have your child use the slips of paper to show related facts. We call these related facts "Fact Family"
Science:
Your child will be learning about heat energy. He or she will be learning which objects release heat and how to be safe around hot objects. Here are some fun activities to help your child learn more about heat:
- Take a short walk outside on a sunny day. Stand with your child for a few minutes in the sun, and then for a few minutes in the shade. Ask your child where he or she fells warmer and why.
- Prepare a meal that involves using heat. Have your child describe why things like potholders and lids are important. Point out other kitchen safety rules, such as turning off the stove and letting hot food cool before eating.
